REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION TO BURUNDI

A. ORDINARY PASSPORT
1. Invitation letter (for tourism): From the Hotel (Reservation) or your host in Burundi
2. Photocopy of International passport
3. Photocopy of yellow card
4. Introduction letter from the working place or company (if going for a business trip/work mission)
5. Two recent photos passports
6. Visa fees: 90 US Dollars /Transfer to:

Kindly provide the proof/receipt of the transaction/transfer.

7. Visa application processing duration: The Government of Burundi should allow the obtaining
of entry visas at the Melchior NDADAYE International Airport in Bujumbura to those who do not
have access to the Diplomatic and Consular missions of Burundi because of the long distance to
travel.

B. DIPLOMATIC OR SERVICE PASSPORT
1. Note verbale
2. Photocopy of passport
3. Photocopy of yellow card
4. Two recent photos passports
5. Visa is Free for citizens of countries that have signed a visa waiver agreement with Burundi.
6. Visa application processing duration: The Government of Burundi should allow the obtaining
of entry visas at the Melchior NDADAYE International Airport in Bujumbura to those who do not
have access to the Diplomatic and Consular missions of Burundi because of the long distance to
travel.
